Minister of Health is concerned: If the Institute of Forensic Medicine also collects fees autonomously, where are the customers?

On the afternoon of October 16, Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan attended the ceremony announcing the minister's decision to re-appoint the director of the Pasteur Institute Nha Trang.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Dao Hong Lan said the Ministry of Finance is amending Decree 60 on the financial autonomy mechanism of public service units.

"The Forensic Institute now collects fees autonomously, so I don't understand where the customers come from to collect the fees," Ms. Lan wondered.

According to Ms. Lan, this issue is very difficult and the Minister has assigned the Department of Personnel Organization and the Department of Planning and Finance (Ministry of Health) to advise in the process of amending Decree 60. When proposing to agencies and sectors, they must have the characteristics of the health sector.

Minister Dao Hong Lan expressed her hope that the preventive medicine sector must have a guaranteed budget to complete its tasks.

According to Ms. Lan, the units of the Ministry of Health should review the opinions of the Ministry of Finance to advise early, on that basis, place orders so that the State can pay the budget.

At the ceremony, Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan presented the decision to re-appoint Dr. Do Thai Hung as Director of Pasteur Institute Nha Trang for a term of 5 years, starting from October 7, 2024.

Ms. Lan also handed over the decision to re-appoint Ms. Le Ho Phuong Nga as Deputy Director in charge of economics at the Pasteur Institute Nha Trang for a term of 5 years, starting from October 7, 2024.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Dao Hong Lan asked the director and deputy director in charge of economics of Nha Trang Pasteur Institute to make efforts to promote the results that Nha Trang Pasteur Institute has achieved in the recent past.

Strengthen internal solidarity, care for the lives of cadres, civil servants and public employees of the unit, implement democratic regulations well, pay attention to training and fostering work...

In his acceptance speech, Mr. Do Thai Hung thanked the Ministry of Health, the Party Committee and local authorities for their trust in assigning him this important task. He promised to promote his role and responsibility, to be the center of solidarity and unity to work with the Nha Trang Pasteur Institute to successfully complete the task.
