On the afternoon of October 16, Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan attended the ceremony announcing the minister's decision to reappoint the director of the Pasteur Institute Nha Trang.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Dao Hong Lan said the Ministry of Finance is amending Decree 60 on the financial autonomy mechanism of public service units.

"The Forensic Institute now collects fees autonomously, so I don't understand where the customers come from to collect the fees" - Ms. Lan wondered.

According to Ms. Lan, this issue is very difficult and the Minister has assigned the Department of Personnel Organization and the Department of Planning and Finance (Ministry of Health) to advise in the process of amending Decree 60. When proposing to agencies and sectors, they must have the characteristics of the health sector.

Minister Dao Hong Lan expressed the hope that the preventive medicine sector must have a guaranteed budget to complete its tasks.

According to Ms. Lan, the units of the Ministry of Health should review the opinions of the Ministry of Finance to advise early, on that basis, place orders so that the State can pay the budget.

At the ceremony, Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan presented the decision to reappoint Dr. Do Thai Hung as Director of the Pasteur Institute Nha Trang for a term of 5 years, starting from October 7, 2024.

Ms. Lan also handed over the decision to reappoint the position of Deputy Director in charge of economics of Nha Trang Pasteur Institute to MSc. Le Ho Phuong Nga, the term of office is 5 years, from October 7, 2024.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Dao Hong Lan asked the director and deputy director in charge of economics of the Nha Trang Pasteur Institute to make efforts to promote the results that the Nha Trang Pasteur Institute has achieved in recent times.

Strengthen internal solidarity, care for the lives of cadres, civil servants and public employees of the unit, well implement democratic regulations, pay attention to training and fostering work...

In his acceptance speech, Mr. Do Thai Hung thanked the Ministry of Health, the Party Committee and the local government for their trust in entrusting him with this great responsibility.
