Speaking with a reporter from Dan Tri newspaper on the morning of September 14th, Mr. Vu Ngoc Oanh, Deputy General Director of Phap Van - Cau Gie BOT Joint Stock Company, said that vehicles can now travel on this expressway.
However, due to the roads still being flooded, traffic is heavy and moving slowly, leading to localized congestion in Thuong Tin district. Mr. Oanh advised passenger cars to only use lane 1 (closest to the median) to avoid the flooded areas.

"The water is gradually receding from the highway. However, many service roads and underpasses are still flooded and impassable," Mr. Oanh shared.
The pumping station in Van Binh commune (Thuong Tin district) is operating at maximum capacity to drain water from the highway. If it doesn't rain, traffic is expected to return to normal on the Phap Van - Cau Gie expressway tomorrow.
Speaking with a reporter from Dan Tri newspaper , Mr. Le Hong Diep, Head of the Infrastructure Maintenance Management Department of the Vietnam Road Administration, said that after the storm, the Hanoi - Lao Cai, Hanoi - Thai Nguyen, Hanoi - Hai Phong, and Cau Gie - Ninh Binh expressways are basically operating normally.
The Phap Van - Cau Gie expressway is currently experiencing traffic congestion due to flooded lanes, limiting vehicle traffic. A task force from the Department of Roads is also present to direct efforts to mitigate the consequences.
