Many principals of 'popular' high schools in Ho Chi Minh City are being reassigned.

On the afternoon of September 8th, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training announced the decision to transfer and appoint several principals at "hot" high schools in Zone 1 (formerly Ho Chi Minh City).

Accordingly, the Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training has issued a decision to transfer and appoint high school principals as follows:

Mr. Nguyen Duc Chinh, Principal of Tran Phu High School (formerly Tan Phu District, now Phu Tho Hoa Ward), has been transferred to become Principal of Nguyen Thuong Hien High School (formerly Tan Binh District, now Tan Son Nhat Ward).

Mr. Lam Trieu Nghi, Principal of Nguyen Thuong Hien High School, has been transferred to become Principal of Gia Dinh High School (formerly Binh Thanh District).

Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Khanh Van, Principal of Gia Dinh High School, has been transferred to become Principal of Thanh Da High School (formerly Binh Thanh District).

Mr. Le Ngoc Khai, Principal of Thu Duc High School, has been transferred to become Principal of Tran Phu High School.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Truc, Principal of Duong Van Thi High School (formerly Thu Duc City), has been transferred to become Principal of Thu Duc High School.

Mr. Le Huu Han, Principal of Thanh Da High School, has been transferred to become Principal of Dao Son Tay High School (formerly Thu Duc City).

Ms. Hoang Thi Hao, Principal of Dao Son Tay High School, has been transferred to become Principal of Long Truong High School (formerly Thu Duc City).

Ms. Le Tuong Quyen, Deputy Principal of Trung Vuong High School (formerly District 1), has been appointed as Principal of Duong Van Thi High School.

This is reportedly the first round of principal transfers and rotations for the 2025-2026 school year, following the merger of Ho Chi Minh City with Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau provinces .

Immediately after the merger, the Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, Nguyen Van Hieu, appointed the leaders of the departments as follows:

Mr. Ho Tan Minh, Chief of Office of the Department (Mr. Ho Tan Minh was the Chief of Office of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training before the merger).

Ms. Ta Thi Minh Thu, Head of the Inspection and Legal Affairs Department (Ms. Thu was formerly the Head of the Non-Public Institution Management Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training).

Mr. Tong Phuoc Loc, Head of the Personnel and Organization Department (Mr. Tong Phuoc Loc was formerly the Head of the Personnel and Organization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training).

Mr. Nguyen Khac Huy, Head of Planning and Finance Department (Mr. Nguyen Khac Huy was formerly the Head of the Planning and Finance Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training).

Ms. Cao Thi Thien Phuc, Head of the Student Affairs Department (Ms. Cao Thi Thien Phuc was formerly the Head of the Political and Ideological Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training).
