To promptly visit, encourage and share with the people in the northern communes of the province affected by natural disasters, on October 10, Provincial Party Secretary Trinh Xuan Truong and the provincial working delegation inspected and directed the work of overcoming the consequences, and at the same time encouraged the people affected by natural disasters in Na Ri and Cho Ra communes.

The Provincial Party Secretary inspected and grasped the actual situation at Na Ri Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities.

The Provincial Party Secretary and the working delegation visited and encouraged teachers and students of Na Ri Boarding Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities (Na Ri commune), one of the places that suffered the most damage after the flash flood occurred in Na Ri commune.

Accordingly, in the early morning of October 6, heavy rain upstream caused the water level of rivers and streams to rise. By about 1 p.m. on October 7, because the school is located between two streams, floodwater from upstream poured in very quickly, so 277 students and teachers of the school were isolated in conditions where the water level continued to rise, directly threatening their safety.

Upon receiving the information, the Party Committee and authorities of Na Ri commune urgently mobilized forces, used rafts to approach and safely brought 277 students and teachers of the school out of the floodwaters, and at the same time ensured temporary accommodation and food for the students.

Leaders of European Plastic Joint Stock Company (EuP) directly presented 500 million VND to support Na Ri Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities.

In order to help the school quickly overcome the consequences of natural disasters, after donating 500 million VND to the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, the leaders of European Plastic Joint Stock Company (EuP) and the Provincial Working Group directly donated this amount to support Na Ri Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities, promptly purchasing educational equipment and repairing damaged facilities due to natural disasters.

The Provincial Party Secretary encouraged households in the Na Ri commune residential area affected by floods.

Next, the Provincial Party Secretary and the working delegation visited and encouraged households in the residential area of ​​Na Ri commune affected by flash floods.

He hopes that with the spirit of solidarity, mutual support and sharing, along with the support of the government and forces, households will quickly clean up, rebuild their houses, and restore production to stabilize their lives.

Regarding long-term solutions, the Provincial Party Secretary directed local authorities to research, propose, and select suitable locations to relocate households, build houses, and stabilize life in safe areas.

The Provincial Party Secretary and the working delegation inspected the site at Dia Linh Primary and Secondary School (Cho Ra commune).

Dia Linh Primary and Secondary School (Cho Ra commune) has more than 400 students, studying at 2 school locations, of which the main school has more than 300 students.

Due to weak geological foundation, during the recent flood, landslides occurred in some locations on the school campus, posing a danger to teachers and students. The 2-storey headquarters building has many cracks that are unsafe and has been closed since 2023. In addition, the classrooms and functional rooms were all built before 1980, which does not ensure the teaching and learning activities of the school.

Through the actual inspection, the Provincial Party Secretary acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts and determination of the Party Committee, the government, and the forces that have maximized the spirit of "4 on-the-spot", quickly handling urgent situations. In extremely difficult and dangerous conditions, absolute safety for the students has been ensured.

The Provincial Party Secretary emphasized: For some people who directly used rafts and bravely participated in rescue at Na Ri Boarding Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities, the local government needs to quickly propose to the province to commend, reward promptly, and honor their brave actions and noble deeds in natural disasters.

The Provincial Party Secretary presented a gift worth 50 million VND to encourage the study and talent promotion work of Dia Linh Primary and Secondary School.

Regarding Dia Linh Primary and Secondary School, after inspecting and grasping the actual situation, the Provincial Party Secretary directed: The People's Committee of Cho Ra commune to urgently develop a plan to propose a suitable location to relocate the entire school to a new location, ensuring safety; assign the Department of Education and Training to coordinate with the Department of Construction to conduct a general review of all schools in the northern communes located in locations with weak geology and high risk of insecurity to promptly advise the province on effective solutions to ensure school safety.

On this occasion, the Provincial Party Secretary presented a gift worth 50 million VND to encourage the study and talent promotion work of Dia Linh Primary and Secondary School.
