The Provincial Party Secretary and the delegation visited and encouraged teachers and students of Na Ri Ethnic Boarding Junior High School (Na Ri commune), one of the places most severely affected by the flash floods and landslides that occurred in Na Ri commune.
Accordingly, in the early morning of October 6th, heavy rain upstream caused river and stream levels to rise. By approximately 1 PM on October 7th, because the school is located between two streams, the floodwaters from upstream rushed in very quickly, isolating 277 students and teachers as the water level continued to rise, directly threatening their safety.
Upon receiving the information, the Party Committee and the local government of Na Rì commune promptly mobilized forces, using rafts to reach and safely evacuate 277 students and teachers from the school from the flooded area, while also ensuring temporary food and accommodation for the students.

In order to help the school quickly overcome the consequences of the natural disaster, after donating 500 million VND to the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, the leaders of European Plastics Joint Stock Company (EuP) and the provincial delegation directly handed over this amount to support Na Ri Ethnic Minority Boarding Junior High School, enabling them to promptly purchase educational equipment and repair the damaged facilities caused by the natural disaster.

Next, the Provincial Party Secretary and the delegation visited and encouraged families in the Na Rì commune residential area affected by flash floods and landslides.
He expressed his hope that, with a spirit of solidarity, mutual support, and sharing, along with the assistance of the government and other forces, the households would quickly clean up, rebuild their homes, and restore production to stabilize their lives.
Regarding long-term solutions, the Provincial Party Secretary directed local authorities to research, propose, and select suitable locations for relocating households, building houses, and stabilizing their lives in safe areas.

Dia Linh Primary and Secondary School (Cho Ra commune) has over 400 students studying at two school locations, with over 300 students at the main school site.
Due to weak geological foundations, landslides occurred in several areas of the school grounds during the recent heavy rains and floods, posing a danger to teachers and students. The two-story administrative building has numerous cracks, making it unsafe, and has been closed and unused since 2023. Furthermore, the classrooms and functional rooms were all built before 1980 and are no longer suitable for teaching and learning.
During the on-site inspection, the Provincial Party Secretary acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts and determination of the Party committee, government, and forces in maximizing the "four on-the-spot" principle and quickly handling the urgent situation. Despite extremely difficult and dangerous conditions, they ensured the absolute safety of the students.
The Provincial Party Secretary emphasized: For some local people who directly used rafts and bravely participated in rescue operations at Na Ri Ethnic Minority Boarding Junior High School, the local authorities need to quickly propose that the province promptly commend and reward them, honoring their courageous actions and noble deeds during the natural disaster.

Regarding Dia Linh Primary and Secondary School, after inspecting and assessing the actual situation, the Provincial Party Secretary directed: The People's Committee of Cho Ra commune should urgently develop a plan to propose a suitable location for relocating the entire school to a new, safe location; the Department of Education and Training should coordinate with the Department of Construction to conduct a comprehensive review of all schools in the northern communes located in areas with weak geological conditions and high safety risks, in order to promptly advise the province on effective solutions to ensure school safety.
On this occasion, the Provincial Party Secretary presented a gift worth 50 million VND to encourage the work of promoting education and talent development at Dia Linh Primary and Secondary School.
