
This morning, August 19th, the Management Board of My Son World Cultural Heritage Site (Thu Bon commune) held a summary meeting for the Heritage Education in Schools program for the 2024-2025 school year.
On May 10, 2024, the My Son Cultural Heritage Management Board and the Education and Training Department of Duy Xuyen District (formerly) signed a joint plan on organizing heritage education in schools.
In the 2024-2025 academic year, the My Son World Cultural Heritage Management Board coordinated the organization of 6 heritage education programs, attracting 5,100 students from 49 primary, secondary, and high schools in the former Duy Xuyen district. Notably, nearly 100 disabled students from the former Quang Nam Center for Support and Inclusive Education for Hearing-Impaired Children and 5,000 students from universities specializing in tourism, culture, architecture, and fine arts visited the My Son Temple Complex, My Son Museum, and the Sa Huynh - Champa Culture Museum for extracurricular learning and study.
Besides learning about historical artifacts and cultural heritage values, students also get to experience some typical occupations and folk games of the Cham and Vietnamese ethnic groups.
In addition, the My Son World Cultural Heritage Management Board also organizes competitions such as: creating bilingual (Vietnamese - English) videos introducing the My Son World Cultural Heritage site; "I'm a Heritage Guide" (with English commentary), practicing commentary and tour-leading skills, giving children the opportunity to improve their English...

On this occasion, the My Son World Cultural Heritage Management Board organized an awards ceremony to honor students and teachers who actively participated in and excellently completed the Heritage Education in Schools program for the 2024-2025 school year.
