Kbang: 5-year-old child drowned while bathing in a stream | Gia Lai Electronic Newspaper

(GLO) - On the morning of June 28, Mr. Tran Van Nhon, Chairman of the People's Committee of Kong Long Khong commune (Kbang district, Gia Lai province), confirmed that a drowning incident had occurred in the commune, resulting in the death of a 5-year-old child.

Specifically, at around 3 PM yesterday, June 27th, three young children from Pơ Ngăl village (Kông Lơng Khơng commune) went to a stream behind the village to swim. While swimming, unfortunately, child Đ.TT (born in 2018) drowned; the other two children ran back to the village to call for help, but child T. had already died.

Immediately after the incident occurred, the People's Committee of Kong Long Khong commune dispatched the commune's police force to the scene to gather information and record the incident.

Local authorities have also sent various departments and organizations to help the family with the funeral arrangements for the child. Initially, the People's Committee of the commune provided 1 million VND, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune provided 500,000 VND, and the Women's Union of the commune provided 300,000 VND to the child's family.
