Not letting fans down, tennis player Le Duc Phat (ranked 62nd in the world) showed his talent when facing tennis player Ong Zhen Yi (Malaysia, ranked 148th in the world). Using extremely powerful smashes and tenacious defense, Le Duc Phat forced the Malaysian tennis player to give up his racket after 2 games with scores of 15/21 and 13/21 respectively. Meanwhile, despite facing difficulties against Wu Luo Yu (China, ranked 113th in the world), Vietnam's No. 1 Nguyen Thuy Linh (ranked 26th in the world) successfully overcame the difficulties with a 2-1 victory (21/16, 18/21, 21/16). With this victory, No. 1 seed and defending champion Nguyen Thuy Linh advanced straight to the quarterfinals, facing Asuka Takahashi (ranked 53rd in the world). The quarterfinal matches of the 2024 Vietnam Open badminton tournament will take place tomorrow (September 13).
