Reporting on the results of the reprinting and research, compilation and publication of the book "History of the Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee," Comrade Bui Mai Hoa, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Propaganda Department, Standing Member of the Steering Committee, and Vice Chairman of the Editorial Board, stated: Recognizing the significance, importance, and necessity of collecting, researching, and compiling the history of the local Party Committee, in order to preserve the historical values and glorious revolutionary traditions of the Party Committee and people of Ninh Binh province; In implementing Directive No. 20-CT/TW, dated January 18, 2018, of the Central Party Secretariat on continuing to strengthen and improve the quality of research, compilation, dissemination, and education of Party history, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee issued a plan to reprint two volumes of the book "History of the Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee, Volume I (1930-1975)" and "History of the Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee, Volume II (1975-2000)", and to research, compile, and publish the book "History of the Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee, Volume III (2001-2020)".
The implementation process received close guidance from the Steering Committee, and the active participation of the members of the Editorial Board and the working group, who diligently collected and exploited documents and materials; researched, compared, verified, and supplemented historical information and data from published works about the province, thereby adding many valuable documents and materials about the history of the Provincial Party Committee.
In particular, for volume 3, after five rounds of consultations and two workshops, the editorial board received valuable and dedicated contributions from former provincial leaders from various periods; the cooperation and collaboration of agencies and units in the province; and the professional support and coordination from the Institute of Party History, the Ho Chi Minh National Political Academy, and the National Political Publishing House. The editorial board worked diligently, responsibly, and meticulously, employing historical research methods to compile a manuscript that meets the requirements of a local Party history book. This contributes to clarifying many important events, highlighting breakthroughs and bold innovations in thinking during the leadership and guidance of the provincial Party committee, as well as the achievements of the Party committee and the people of the province.
This book series is a meticulously researched, compiled, and edited scientific work, adhering strictly to procedures and regulations. By December 2023, the series had completed printing and publication with 1,500 copies. Comprising three substantial volumes and over 1,000 pages, the "History of the Provincial Party Committee" vividly recreates the stages of development, the efforts, sacrifices, and contributions of the Party Committee and the people of the entire province to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation from 1930 to 2020.
Speaking at the ceremony, a representative from the National Political Publishing House – the unit coordinating the editing and publishing of the book series – stated: During the publishing process, the editorial board of the publishing house reviewed, edited, and compared the texts, historical events, figures, and place names mentioned in the manuscript with officially published books and documents to ensure the accuracy, scientific rigor, and logical consistency of the book series. Simultaneously, the editorial board consulted with and sought feedback and assessments from several experts and scientists to refine the manuscript content.
Highly appreciating the leadership and guidance of the Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Executive Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Steering Committee, the Editorial Council, and the responsible and effective coordination of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and relevant agencies of Ninh Binh province, the leaders of the National Political Publishing House believe that recreating the history of the Provincial Party Committee through the book series "History of the Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee" with a massive amount of information and events over a period of 90 years (1930 - 2020) is an extremely important and meaningful undertaking.
On this occasion, the National Political Publishing House proposes that the Provincial Party Committee consider and approve the publication of this book series in electronic formats such as multimedia books and audiobooks, to help spread the value of the series to a wider readership inside and outside the province.
Delivering a speech at the ceremony, Comrade Doan Minh Huan, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Head of the Steering Committee for the reprinting, research, compilation, and publication of the History of the Provincial Party Committee, respectfully thanked the former provincial leaders from various periods for their dedicated participation and valuable contributions; the cooperation and collaboration of agencies and units in the province; and the professional support and collaboration of the Institute of Party History, the Ho Chi Minh National Political Academy, and the National Political Publishing House in the research, compilation, and publication of the book series.
At the same time, we acknowledge and highly appreciate the Editorial Board, especially the leaders, officials, and staff of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department - the Standing Agency of the Steering Committee - and the Editorial Board for their seriousness, responsibility, adherence to the research methods of historical science; and their meticulous, thorough, and scientific approach in the process of researching, editing, and compiling this book.
Emphasizing the important role of compiling and publishing history books, the Provincial Party Secretary stated that understanding history is an objective human need to better grasp one's origins. Through the compilation and publication of history books, we contribute to summarizing theory and practice; drawing lessons learned from the implementation of the Party's policies and guidelines throughout history; and establishing a foundation and driving force for defining the vision and direction of comprehensive and sustainable development of Ninh Binh province in the present and future.
Therefore, the Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee History Book Series (from 1930 to 2020) is of great significance, summarizing the glorious historical journey of the Party Committee, recording important milestones, and drawing valuable historical lessons with profound practical value. It is an important document serving research, propaganda, and education on historical traditions, contributing to enhancing pride in the glorious traditions of the Provincial Party Committee. In addition, the publication and distribution of this book series also meets the needs of readers inside and outside the province to learn about the history of Ninh Binh province in general and the history of the Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee in particular.
To spread the immense and profound value of the book series and to quickly bring it to a large number of cadres, Party members, and people from all walks of life inside and outside the province, the Provincial Party Secretary requested the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department to take the lead and coordinate with relevant agencies and units to promptly distribute the correct and sufficient number of books to the target groups approved by the Provincial Party Standing Committee.
Immediately following the book launch ceremony, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department is requested to direct media outlets, press agencies, and relevant organizations to intensify the dissemination of information about the book through various rich, practical, and appropriate forms. Simultaneously, they should promptly digitize the book and upload it to the Provincial Party Committee's electronic information portal, contributing to the rapid spread of the book's core values and content to a large number of cadres, Party members, and people inside and outside the province.
District Party Committees, City Party Committees, Party Committees directly under the Provincial Party Committee; agencies and units in the province should integrate the dissemination and introduction of the core content of the book into the activities of Party committees, Party branches, and youth union branches. The Provincial Political School and the Political Centers of district and city Party committees should research and compile teaching materials for training and refresher programs; the Department of Education and Training should direct schools in the province to research and supplement the local Party history education curriculum.
The Provincial Party Secretary also instructed the Provincial Party Propaganda Department to regularly review, refine, and incorporate the opinions of cadres, Party members, and the people, especially the opinions of former provincial leaders from various periods, and veteran revolutionaries inside and outside the province, in order to continue updating data and reprinting the book series in a way that is consistent with the local situation and each historical period.
At the launch ceremony, Comrade Doan Minh Huan, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Comrade Mai Van Tuat, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; and Comrade Pham Quang Ngoc, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, presented the book set "History of the Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee" to former members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, former members of the Provincial Party Committee, and the Secretaries of the district and city Party Committees and Party Committees directly under the province.
