Parachuting man stuck on 110kV high voltage power line

(Dan Tri) - Authorities have just successfully rescued a parachuting man stuck on a 110kV high-voltage power line in Nam Phuong Tien commune, Chuong My district, Hanoi .


At about 3:20 p.m. on November 9, a man parachuted from the top of Bu 833 hill, Nam Phuong Tien commune, Chuong My district, Hanoi, to a field and got stuck on a 110kV high-voltage power line.

After receiving the news, local authorities coordinated with the Northern Power Corporation to mobilize human resources and specialized equipment to the scene to rescue the victims.

Authorities said the incident did not affect residential areas but caused a power outage at a cement factory in the area.

At about 4:30 p.m., the man was rescued safely, uninjured.

Witnesses at the scene said the victim was stuck about 25 meters above the ground, suspended between two bare electric wires.

Previously on October 20, a man parachuting in Quang Tien commune, Hoa Binh city, while preparing to land, also got caught in a 35kV power line, leaving his whole body hanging in the air.
