Promoting the cultural identity of the land of lotus

VHO - Known as the land of pink lotus in Vietnam, the exhibition area of Dong Thap province is designed with a strong impression of lotus as the main image, harmoniously combining traditional and modern elements, demonstrating the socio-economic development path and the unique cultural identity of the province after the merger.

Participating in the National Achievements Exhibition on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day taking place from August 28 to September 5 at the National Exhibition Center ( Hanoi ), the exhibition area of the lotus land has the theme "Dong Thap - Proud of tradition - Firmly building the future".

Accordingly, the entire exhibition of Dong Thap province shows the achievements of the renovation period; history of formation, development and transformation, along with cultural identity, advantages, development potential; development strategy to 2030, vision 2045 of the locality.

With an area of 330m2, the exhibition area consists of four main spaces: Photo exhibition space, modeling socio -economic achievements; Space to introduce and promote agricultural products, OCOP products, typical fruits of the river region; Art exhibition area of books, newspapers, documents on socio-economic achievements of Dong Thap province in the period 1945 - 2025; Cultural tourism connection space with 3 miniatures promoting cultural identity and tourist destinations, famous landscapes with unique characteristics of Dong Thap.

Notably, the lotus exhibition area is designed to simulate a river - the source of life, harmoniously combining tradition and modernity, reflecting the dynamic integration of life with the central idea of taking the Tien River as the main image - the flow connecting the two banks, depositing alluvium, nurturing culture - history and fueling the journey to the ocean.

According to the People's Committee of Dong Thap province, this is not only an important occasion to introduce, spread information and honor the outstanding achievements in the socio-economic development of Dong Thap province, but also clearly depicts the historical journey of formation and development of the land rich in patriotic traditions; the history of resilient revolutionary struggle of the Party Committee, government and people of Dong Thap province to friends at home and abroad.
