Quang Nam provides specialized training for 48 Laotian students

The People's Committee of Quang Nam province recently issued Decision No. 2145/QD-UBND dated September 16, 2024 on receiving and providing specialized training for 48 international students from Sekong and Champasak provinces, Lao People's Democratic Republic.

According to the approved Decision, the People's Committee of Quang Nam province will receive and organize specialized training for 48 international students from Sekong and Champasak provinces, Laos (including 46 cases receiving 100% full scholarships and 02 cases of self-funding) to study at Quang Nam University from September 4, 2024.

Quang Nam University was assigned by the People's Committee of Quang Nam province to receive, train, manage and transfer Laotian students to ensure quality and timely, fully comply with the province's policies and regulations for students in accordance with regulations so that 48 Laotian students can successfully complete their specialized study programs at the school.

It is known that in recent times, the cooperative relationship between Quang Nam province and Lao localities, especially with Sekong and Champasak provinces, has continuously developed, becoming increasingly deeper and more substantial. The two sides have cooperated comprehensively in all aspects, focusing on many areas, especiallyeducation and training, which is considered a key task in the friendly cooperative relationship.

Since 2007, Quang Nam province has granted scholarships for training, fostering and coaching to more than 1,500 cadres and students of Sekong and Champasak provinces. Of which, scholarships for Vietnamese language training have been granted to more than 800 international students. Many international students have returned to work and matured, and have been assigned by the Party and State to hold important positions in the locality.

This is an important achievement in the educational and training cooperation between the two sides, contributing to strengthening and promoting the close cooperation in all fields between Quang Nam province and Lao localities in particular, as well as between Vietnam and Laos in general.
