

At the opening ceremony, Deputy Director of Lam Dong Provincial Museum Doan Van Thuan affirmed: Cham ethnic culture is an inseparable part of Vietnamese national culture, creating a multi-ethnic cultural nuance among 54 ethnic groups living together on the land of Vietnam in general and 49 ethnic groups in Lam Dong province in particular.


Activities at the Cham Cultural Exhibition Center always aim to preserve and promote the unique cultural values of the Cham people. Activities during the annual Kate Festival are one of the unique intangible cultural forms, attracting a large number of tourists to visit, learn and research.
This has become a playground for Cham people, especially the young generation, to directly experience and practice the traditional values of their nation. From there, they become active contributors to the preservation and development of the nation's traditional culture.


Since its establishment in 2010, the Cham Cultural Exhibition Center has become a typical destination, a place to preserve, introduce and spread the quintessence of Cham culture to visitors from near and far. With the effort to innovate and create constantly in organizing on-site activities, the Cham Cultural Exhibition Center always promotes existing facilities, regularly adding new artifacts to enrich the display themes.

At the ceremony, the Provincial Museum received 15 artifacts donated by collectors, intellectuals, and Cham people, bringing the total number of original artifacts on display at the Cham Cultural Exhibition Center to more than 1,600.

The Deputy Director of the Provincial Museum pledged that the artifacts of the museum, the collectors who cooperate in displaying and donating will be carefully preserved, systematically and scientifically preserved and effectively exploited to preserve the artifacts and documents of the past. Thereby preserving and promoting the unique cultural values of the Cham people to contribute to the development of an advanced Vietnamese culture imbued with national identity.


Within the framework of the event taking place from October 22-23, at the Cham Cultural Exhibition Center, there will be activities such as: Displaying 70 images with the theme "Cultural colors of ethnic groups in Lam Dong province"; traditional Cham writing contest; demonstration of traditional crafts including: Pottery making, weaving and gingerbread making.
In addition, there are also Cham folk games organized such as: Blindfolded pot smashing, throwing bamboo sticks into ceramic jars and connecting tours to visit the Cham Royal Open Warehouse (Hong Thai commune), Po Klong Mohnai Temple (Luong Son commune), Po Anit Temple (Bac Binh commune).


Thereby, affirming the value of tangible and intangible cultural heritage of the Cham people to the public; at the same time, creating a joyful and healthy cultural living space in the community.
