Chain accident between 3 cars on the highway, traffic jam

(NLDO) - A series of accidents involving 3 cars on the Noi Bai - Lao Cai highway caused traffic congestion.

At noon on January 31 (the 3rd day of the Lunar New Year), information from the Traffic Police Department ( Ministry of Public Security ) said that at around 6:30 a.m. on the same day, on the Noi Bai - Lao Cai highway, a series of traffic accidents occurred between 3 vehicles, causing local congestion on the road.

Specifically, the series of accidents occurred at Km 140+750 in Xuan Ai commune, Van Yen district, Yen Bai province, in the direction of Lao Cai - Hanoi .

According to initial information, at the above time, a car with license plate 20A- 796.xx driven by Mr. NTN (born in 1986, residing in Cao Bang) suddenly crashed into the guardrail on the highway. Then, a car with license plate 24A- 150.xx driven by Mr. NVH (born in 1970, residing in Lao Cai province) behind could not brake in time and collided with car 20A- 796.xx. At the same time, a tourist bus with license plate 29F- 010.xx driven by Mr. NHT (born in 1990, residing in Hanoi) traveling in the same direction behind continued to crash into the two cars.

At the scene, 3 vehicles were damaged, the passenger bus turned across the road, causing traffic in both directions to be partially congested. The accident injured 2 people.

Upon receiving the news, Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 1 (Traffic Police Department) sent officers and soldiers to protect the scene and regulate traffic. At the same time, they checked the alcohol and drug levels of 3 drivers but found no violations.
