At the end of the tournament, the Organizing Committee awarded a total of 70 individual medals to athletes in the martial arts and combat categories.
Specifically, the Vovinam athlete team from Ho Chi Minh City named after Uncle Ho won 18 gold medals, 5 silver medals and 3 bronze medals to take first place overall.
Meanwhile, Can Tho City delegation with 14 gold medals, 4 silver medals and 3 bronze medals ranked second, host Binh Thuan ranked third with 7 gold medals, 4 silver medals and 5 bronze medals.
This year's tournament took place from June 18 to 24 with the participation of more than 700 athletes from 33 units, provinces, cities, and sectors across the country such as: Hanoi , Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, Thanh Hoa, Army, Public Security, ... and host Binh Thuan.
Athletes compete in 78 sets of medals including 32 events in single, double, multiple, team, and kick attacks and 46 weight categories in 3 age groups: 12-15 years old, 16-18 years old and 19-21 years old.
The tournament aims to celebrate the 87th anniversary of the founding of Vovinam - Viet Vo Dao.
This tournament is not only an opportunity for young martial artists to demonstrate their talent and training efforts, but also contributes to spreading the martial spirit, discipline and identity of Vietnamese martial arts.
Among Vietnamese martial arts, Vovinam has developed on the largest scale with more than 2 million students in more than 70 countries and territories around the world and has become a sport that receives enthusiastic participation from a large number of people.
This martial art is also included in the curriculum in schools, contributing to the further spread and development of the nation's martial art.
