
Up to this point, 19 businesses have registered to participate in the program, bringing price-stabilized goods to nearly 11,000 points of sale, including supermarkets, convenience stores and markets.
The expected supply of essential goods for the three months before, during and after Tet includes 301,000 tons of rice; 60,000 tons of pork; 20,000 tons of poultry; 401 million eggs; 334,500 tons of vegetables; 16,700 tons of processed foods and equivalent to the seafood group. Many items have high self-sufficiency such as pork (meeting 109%), poultry (209%) and eggs (184.7%).
Supply-demand connection activities were promoted with about 30 trade promotion programs, fairs, fruit weeks, and regional specialties; connecting over 4,000 agricultural products and 3,463 Hanoi OCOP products to the distribution system. The Department of Agriculture and Environment continued to maintain 170 safe agricultural production and consumption chains and 1,327 safe food supply chains for the capital market.
At the same time, the Department of Industry and Trade organized many programs to stimulate consumption such as the Fair of Vietnamese goods loved by consumers, Fruit - Agricultural Products Weeks, concentrated promotional events and " Hanoi Midnight Sale 2025", attracting nearly 1,000 points of sale, more than 3,000 promotional programs with a total value of 30,000 billion VND.
During peak times, the number of visitors and sales at retail systems participating in fairs increased by 20-50%, with online shopping accounting for more than 50%. Propaganda about market stabilization was also increased on the city's newspapers, radio stations and the Department of Industry and Trade's information channel.
In parallel with ensuring supply, the authorities have stepped up market inspections and food safety during the period of high consumer demand. This Tet, purchasing power in the capital is forecast to increase by 20%.
