On the morning of September 20, the Center for Agricultural Trade Promotion (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development) held a press conference to inform about the 20th Vietnam Craft Village Fair - 2024.
Answering questions and concerns of delegates attending the press conference, Mr. Nguyen Minh Tien, Director of the Center for Agricultural Trade Promotion, said: Currently, the country has over 5,000 craft villages and villages with crafts in operation. Of which, the number of traditional craft villages recognized according to the Government 's craft village criteria is over 2,000, attracting about 1.58 million workers with an average income of about 5-6 million VND/person/month.

Following the success of the Vietnam Craft Village Fair in previous years, in 2024, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development assigned the Agricultural Trade Promotion Center to coordinate with units under the Ministry to organize the 20th Vietnam Craft Village Fair in 2024.
This is an annual activity of great significance to promote and honor traditional craft villages, craft streets, artisans and skilled workers with typical products; introduce unique craft village and craft street models across the country; connect the consumption of craft village products and OCOP products; create an environment for exchanging experiences and knowledge on the production and business of handicraft products and connecting businesses to purchase and consume products.
This fair will take place from October 3-6 at the Agricultural Trade Promotion Center (489 Hoang Quoc Viet Street, Bac Tu Liem District, Hanoi ) with a scale of 100 standard booths and over 1,000 m2 of specially designed and decorated exhibition space.
Up to now, the organizing committee has received registrations from nearly 100 units and enterprises nationwide. The products brought to the fair include many typical handicraft products of traditional craft villages and streets such as: Bat Trang ceramics, My Duc silk, Thuong Tin embroidery, Canh Nau wooden furniture, Xuan La figurines, Phu Vinh bamboo and rattan weaving, Chuong village conical hats, Ha Thai lacquerware, Chuon Ngo mother-of-pearl inlay; Nga Son sedge mats, Phu Lang pottery, Hoang Dieu leather shoes; handicraft products from Do Xuyen bamboo, driftwood, Quang Nam agarwood, Luong Hoa Lac wood carving, Long Dinh mat weaving, Tan Hoa Thanh sedge craft village products...

In addition, the Fair also displays many agricultural products that meet OCOP standards of 3 stars or higher, products with protected geographical indications, organic, typical, key and potential products of localities across the country, typically: Cu Lao Cai sen rice, Dak Lak coffee, Thai Nguyen tea, Quy Hoa golden flower tea, Lang Cheu rice paper, Bac Giang Chu noodles, Cai Be rice paper, Lo Cuong rice paper, Phu Loc wine, Thanh Hoa sour sausage, Nghe An pork roll, Khanh Hoa bird's nest, Cao Bang black jelly, Phan Thiet seafood, Phu Quoc fish sauce, shrimp paste, Ba Lang shrimp paste, Binh Thuan dragon fruit, Dak Nong durian, Moc Chau vegetables and fruits...
According to Mr. Tien, within the framework of this fair, there will be many activities: Opening ceremony of the 20th Craft Village Fair and awarding ceremony of the Hanoi City Craft Village Product Competition 2024 (time: 8:30 - 10:00 on October 3, at the lobby on the 1st floor, agricultural exhibition hall, 489 Hoang Quoc Viet, Hanoi); Forum "Promoting consumption of traditional craft village products and OCOP products through e-commerce platforms" (time: 8:30 - 11:30 on October 4, combining live and online via Zoom platform); organizing delegations of artisans, craftsmen, and agricultural officials from localities to visit and study.

In particular, in order to diversify trade promotion forms, open new markets, increase opportunities to reach customers and bring outstanding economic efficiency to localities, the highlight of the Fair is the livestream activity selling craft village products and agricultural specialties, OCOP products on the TikTok platform.
With careful preparation, carefully selected products, fully meeting quality standards, promising to bring consumers many experiences and bargain hunting when participating in watching and shopping for agricultural specialties by purchasing directly at the livestream (customers can watch and buy agricultural products, OCOP products directly on TikTok at the "OCOP Market" channel during the time frame of 10:00 - 13:00 on October 4).
