Opening of the Exhibition Fair in Nho Quan district

On the evening of October 19, at Cuc Phuong Commune Stadium, the Department of Industry and Trade held the opening ceremony of the Fair of industrial, handicraft, agricultural and forestry products of the region for ethnic minorities in Nho Quan district.

Attending the opening ceremony were representatives of the Department of Industry and Trade, Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, leaders of Nho Quan district, many businesses, cooperatives and people in the district.

The exhibition fair has a scale of 100 booths with more than 50 enterprises, cooperatives, organizations and individuals from inside and outside the province participating. Coming to the fair, people and tourists will be able to participate in many exciting and attractive activities, imbued with the cultural colors of Nho Quan people such as: cultural exchange, arts, sports; folk games; learning about local cuisine and Muong cultural space; exchanging goods and signing economic contracts...

In recent times, Nho Quan district has paid attention to the promotion and consumption of industrial products, handicrafts, agriculture and forestry, and tourism services with many flexible forms and methods. Thereby contributing to promoting the potential and strengths of the locality, preserving the specialties of the region, attracting friends and tourists to visit, shop, and gradually developing the socio-economy.

The district has formed key crop production areas such as: 100-hectare custard apple production area, 800-hectare pineapple production area; 40-hectare golden tea production area, etc. Up to now, 16 products have achieved OCOP certification, of which 8 products have achieved 4 stars and 8 products have achieved 3 stars.

The exhibition fair is held to promote trade in rural mountainous areas and ethnic minority areas of Nho Quan district, a practical activity responding to the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods".

This is also an opportunity for production and business enterprises and people in rural, mountainous and ethnic minority areas to exchange and access high-quality Vietnamese products at reasonable costs. Thereby contributing to ensuring the goals of social security and socio-economic development of ethnic minorities and mountainous areas in the period of 2021-2030.

The fair takes place from October 19-23, 2023 at Cuc Phuong commune stadium.
