Opening of the Dak Lak Province Secondary School Teacher Competition for the 2024-2025 school year

On March 31st, at Nguyen Du Specialized High School, the Dak Lak Department of Education and Training held the opening ceremony of the Dak Lak Provincial Excellent Junior High School Teacher Competition for the 2024-2025 school year.

The competition involved 419 teachers from 245 junior high schools under 15 Education and Training Departments in the province. These are outstanding teachers selected from local-level junior high school teacher excellence competitions.

Contestants will participate in two parts of the competition: presenting measures to improve the quality of teaching at their educational institution; and conducting a practical teaching session covering the content of grades 6, 7, 8, and 9 of the 2018 General Education Program.

The competitions will be held from March 31st to April 4th, 2025, at junior high schools in Buon Ma Thuot City. The organizing committee has mobilized 184 key teachers from junior and senior high schools to serve as judges for the competition.

Director of the Department of Education and Training, Le Thi Thanh Xuan, delivered the opening speech for the competition.

The Provincial Excellent Secondary School Teacher Competition is a meaningful and practical activity held every four years to identify, recognize, and honor outstanding teachers, while also promoting best practices in the education sector. It provides opportunities for teachers and education administrators to demonstrate their professional competence, innovate teaching methods, actively learn, and exchange experiences in teaching, contributing to improving the quality of education and professional development.

The results of the competition will be one of the important bases for evaluating the current state of the teaching staff in educational institutions. This will then serve as a basis for developing training and professional development plans to enhance professional competence and develop teachers' abilities to meet the requirements of the 2018 General Education Program.

To ensure the competition is conducted seriously, objectively, and effectively, the Director of the Department of Education and Training, Le Thi Thanh Xuan, requested the Organizing Committee and the Judging Panel to uphold their responsibilities, work objectively, fairly, and transparently, accurately and truthfully evaluate, and identify and honor truly outstanding teachers. The selected secondary schools should prepare thoroughly, ensuring adequate facilities and teaching equipment, creating a friendly and safe environment, and providing the best possible conditions for participating teachers and the Judging Panel to perform their duties…
