Delegates and peacekeeping soldiers from the two units laid wreaths and offered incense at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum; and laid wreaths and commemorated the heroic martyrs at the Monument to Heroic Martyrs on Bac Son Street, Hanoi.
Presiding over the ceremony to report achievements to President Ho Chi Minh, on behalf of the members of Field Hospital Level 2 No. 6 and Engineering Team No. 3, Major General Pham Manh Thang, Director of the Vietnam Peacekeeping Department, affirmed that both units had successfully and excellently completed their professional duties during their term of service. The entire unit demonstrated unity and mutual support, overcoming difficulties and hardships, upholding the qualities of revolutionary engineering and medical soldiers, and the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" in carrying out their tasks in the United Nations mission environment; further affirming the prestige and role of Vietnam's Engineering Team and Level 2 Field Hospital to the command and agencies of the United Nations in the area.

Accordingly, Engineering Team No. 3 has maintained, repaired, and upgraded over 300 km of main supply roads, with an average width of 20-24 m, ensuring that 4-6 lanes of heavy-duty trucks can travel during the dry season, and that vehicles can travel at a maximum speed of 70 km/h. This contributes to improving and developing transportation infrastructure and enhancing mobility and security patrols, especially in emergency situations.

The 3rd Engineering Team also researched and applied the K-31 chemical technology (soil hardening agent) to treat 27,215 m2 of the airport runway surface, contributing to dust control, waterproofing, and preventing water accumulation on the runway, minimizing operational disruptions and saving resources. This was praised and commended by the UNISFA mission leadership; helping the airport maintain stable operations and become an efficient transportation, supply, and personnel rotation center.

In addition, the 3rd Engineering Team successfully constructed two large-scale workshops in just 3 months (compared to the initial plan of 6 months) under extremely harsh rainy season weather conditions; and deployed the construction of smart barracks for peacekeeping units at the mission ahead of schedule and with good quality. Furthermore, the unit also performed many other tasks with high quality, such as rescuing over 200 heavy trucks and tankers belonging to units within the mission and civilians, contributing to clearing major roads that had been congested for extended periods; and carrying out the loading, unloading, and relocation of equipment and goods for the mission.

Regarding Field Hospital Level 2 No. 6, the unit has performed its medical duties at the UNMISS mission with excellence. During its one-year term, Field Hospital Level 2 No. 6 admitted and treated 2,650 patients, including UN staff and local residents, ensuring absolute medical safety.
In particular, the hospital successfully handled many severe and complex cases requiring high medical expertise, notably the surgery to reattach a nearly completely severed finger for a soldier from the Pakistani Engineering Corps, resulting in complete recovery. The Mission Commander and the Sector Commander sent letters of commendation, praising the hospital's expertise as exceeding the standards for a Level 2 field hospital within the United Nations mission, and the case was reported at UN Headquarters.

With a strong sense of responsibility and high medical expertise, Field Hospital Level 2 No. 6 has earned the absolute trust of UN leaders and staff, as well as local authorities and people; it has been requested by the Head of the Medical Agency and the Head of the Military Medical Corps of the Mission to retain patients for treatment, including many difficult cases requiring referral to higher-level facilities.
In addition, Field Hospital Level 2 No. 6 has conducted over 6,500 physiotherapy procedures, establishing a high reputation for expertise in Vietnamese traditional medicine; proactively developed plans for epidemic prevention and control and effectively implemented measures to prevent and control malaria, monkeypox, and cholera.

For the tasks assigned by the Ministry of National Defence, the 3rd Engineering Team and the 6th Level 2 Field Hospital regularly updated the situation, promptly developed and adjusted combat readiness plans, ensuring they were closely aligned with the local reality. The two units proactively monitored the local situation and the mission's intentions, promptly reporting and advising superiors at all levels on measures to respond to unstable security situations in the area; they proactively researched and learned from experience in deploying units to the area; and studied the mission's troop transfer procedures and plans to advise on preparations and troop replacement plans for subsequent formations upon their return home...

Before the sacred image of President Ho Chi Minh, the soldiers of the two units pledged to always be absolutely loyal to the Party, the Fatherland, and the people; to unite, be creative, overcome difficulties to excellently fulfill their duties, and contribute to continuously enhancing the nation's position and prestige.
On this occasion, members of Field Hospital Level 2 No. 6 and Engineering Team No. 3 were awarded the Ho Chi Minh Badge.
