Of the 11 main groups of consumer goods and services, 10 groups increased in price; only the post and telecommunications group had prices unchanged compared to the previous month.

Notably, in July, the CPI of the transport group increased by 1.45%. Health insurance prices increased by 28.45% when the basic salary was adjusted from 1.8 million VND/month to 2.34 million VND/month. The price of elderly care services increased by 2.5% compared to the previous month.

Also according to the General Statistics Office, compared to December 2023, the CPI in July increased by 1.89%. Of which, 9 groups of goods increased in price and 2 groups decreased in price. The average CPI in the first 7 months of the year increased by 4.12% compared to the same period in 2023.
