Attending the congress were Comrade Nguyen Hoang Thoai, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Association ; leaders of the ward Party Committee, along with 80 officially summoned delegates.

During the past term, the Bac Lieu Ward Farmers' Association has continuously grown stronger in terms of organization and quality of activities, making positive contributions to rural economic development and urban civilization building. The Association has played its role as a reliable representative organization of the peasant class, actively mobilizing members to participate in emulation movements, transforming production models, and applying science and technology to urban agriculture.

Building on the achievements, the First Congress set forth 13 key targets for the new term, focusing on building a strong, united, and creative Association organization, contributing to inspiring the aspiration to build a prosperous, civilized, and happy Bac Lieu ward in the era of integration and development.

Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Association, Nguyen Hoang Thoai, expressed his wish for the ward's Farmers' Association to develop young members with a desire to contribute and the skills to apply digital technology to promote the development of smart agriculture .

In his directive speech, Comrade Nguyen Hoang Thoai requested the Ward Farmers' Association to continue innovating the content and methods of its activities, in line with the urban government model; while promoting the core and leading role of farmers in developing smart and sustainable urban agriculture, and enhancing the production value chain. At the same time, he urged strengthening links with supermarkets and shopping centers in the area to create stable outlets for agricultural products from farmers in the ward and surrounding areas.

At the congress, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Farmers' Association announced the decision to appoint 18 members to the Executive Committee and 3 delegates to attend the higher-level congress. Comrade Nguyen Van Lang was appointed to the position of Chairman of the Bac Lieu Ward Farmers' Association for the term 2025-2030.

On this occasion, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Farmers' Association awarded 2 billion VND from the Farmers' Support Fund to the Bac Lieu Ward Farmers' Association to support its members in developing production and expanding effective economic models.
