The 2025 'Drug-Free School' Contest was opened enthusiastically

On the morning of October 17, 2025, at the University of Water Resources, the first match of the "Drug-Free School" Competition season 3 in 2025 officially took place, opening a series of 30 competitions nationwide, including 20 competitions for high school students and 10 competitions for universities and colleges.

The program is an attractive knowledge playground, attracting the participation of students from 6 leading universities in the Northern region: The morning competition includes the University of Water Resources, Banking Academy and Academy of Finance, the afternoon competition takes place between 3 Colleges of Electromechanics and Construction of Bac Ninh , Vietnam Maritime University, University of Electricity.

The contest is jointly organized by the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department ( Ministry of Public Security ), the Department of Students (Ministry of Education and Training) and the Science and Technology Department (Vietnam Television). The program's goal is to promote and help students understand the risks and serious consequences of drugs, especially new generation drugs disguised as food, drinks or electronic cigarettes.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Colonel Nguyen Duc Tuan, Deputy Director of the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department, emphasized the importance of raising awareness of drug prevention and control in schools.

Throughout the competition, the teams went through four dramatic and creative rounds:

Who I am: Introduce the school and its members through impressive video clips, incorporating messages about drug prevention.

Knowledge: Test your knowledge of drugs and related laws through 5 multiple choice questions and scenarios.

Project presentation: Teams presented their passionate and practical community drug prevention projects.

Talent: Express creativity through theatrical forms such as plays, singing, and folk songs to convey meaningful messages.

In particular, the program also had a surprise appearance by artist Trung Ruoi. He had a part in interacting and handling hypothetical situations about drug traps with students, bringing practical and valuable skills lessons.

In addition to the main competitions, the program also organized minigames to interact with the audience through the VTV2 Quality of Life fanpage, creating an extremely vibrant atmosphere and strongly spreading the message of the competition.

The program ended with the awarding of the best teams and 5 additional awards for impressive categories. More than just a competition, the event strongly spread the message "Vietnamese Students - Joining hands to build a drug-free community", calling on the young generation to act together for a peaceful and happy society.
