Speaking at the Conference, Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Do Van Chien respectfully conveyed the best wishes of National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man to the Group of Young National Assembly Deputies of the 15th Term.
The Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly stated that the conference summarizing the Group's activities during the 15th National Assembly term was an opportunity to review the Group's 10 years of formation and development. Through practical activities, it has been affirmed that the overall achievements of the 15th National Assembly include worthy and impressive contributions from young National Assembly deputies.
The Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly emphasized, “With 123 delegates, accounting for nearly 25% of the total number of National Assembly deputies, young National Assembly deputies have demonstrated steadfast political will, pioneering spirit, innovation, responsibility and maturity through each National Assembly session; effectively participating in legislative activities, supervision, deciding on important issues of the country, in the innovation process; in parliamentary foreign affairs work”.
Notably, many young National Assembly deputies are trusted to preside over and advise on projects, drafts, and supervision topics of the National Assembly, the National Assembly Standing Committee, etc. In particular, over the past 10 years of operation, we have recorded the rapid and comprehensive growth of young National Assembly deputies. Some deputies have been entrusted with important responsibilities such as members of the Party Central Committee, leaders of ministries, branches, localities, and agencies of the National Assembly; armed forces officers, and many outstanding experts and businessmen.
To achieve these results, the Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly highly appreciated the role of the Standing Committee of the Young Parliamentarians Group, especially the sense of responsibility, enthusiasm, and leadership of the Group's Chairman; along with the enthusiasm, responsibility, and dedication of the young parliamentarians in the Group. "We worked together to successfully organize the 9th Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians; coordinated with the Editorial Team of the 14th National Party Congress Documents to organize a Conference to contribute comments to the draft documents; coordinated with the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union; National Assembly agencies, and the National Assembly Office to successfully organize the mock session of the Children's National Assembly," the Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly noted.
The group of young National Assembly deputies has also paid special attention to listening to and reflecting the voices of young people through organizing meetings with young voters in many localities, especially young voters in rural areas, workers, pupils and students.
On behalf of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Do Van Chien acknowledged and respectfully thanked the intelligence, youthfulness, and desire to contribute to the success of the 15th National Assembly term of office of the Young National Assembly Deputies: Courage, innovation, democracy, professionalism, leaving many deep impressions.
Thoroughly grasp the direction of General Secretary To Lam on the responsibility of people's representatives
Emphasizing that our country is facing many opportunities and favorable times to enter the era of national development, towards realizing two 100-year strategic goals, the Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly hopes that each young National Assembly member, regardless of his position, will continue to contribute, listen to the thoughts and aspirations of young people, pay deep attention to issues related to youth, education, training, science and technology, innovation and development of high-quality human resources, and contribute their intelligence, creativity and youth to building a peaceful, independent, unified, democratic and prosperous Vietnam, firmly moving towards socialism as the sacred will of beloved Uncle Ho.
Due to work requirements, a number of young delegates will not be re-elected for the 16th National Assembly. The Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly hopes that, regardless of their position, the delegates will maintain their sense of responsibility, courage, intelligence, and image of people's representatives.
For the re-elected delegates, the Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly suggested that it is necessary to be more deeply aware that this is an honor, pride, and expectation of the Party, State, and People, not only for the National Assembly Deputies, but also for the young generation of Vietnam, thoroughly grasping the direction of General Secretary To Lam on the responsibility of the people's representatives: "Must truly be a loyal representative of the People, speak the voice of the People, take care of the People's affairs, protect the legitimate rights of the People... Have an innovative mindset, dare to think, dare to speak, dare to do, dare to take responsibility; have the vision and capacity to participate in formulating policies to create development for the locality and the country in the new period".
The Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly said that the term of the 15th National Assembly is gradually coming to an end with historical marks, moving towards the term of the 16th National Assembly with even more successes, building a democratic, modern, professional, and rule-of-law National Assembly, under the comprehensive leadership of the Party, always closely attached to the People, truly embodying the will, aspirations and strength of great national unity.
In that spirit, the Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly supports the proposal of the Young National Assembly Deputies Group on continuing to establish the Group in the next term; enhancing skills training; expanding parliamentary foreign affairs activities; organizing policy forums for youth; and building a closer coordination mechanism with the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union. These are reasonable recommendations, in line with the requirements of improving the quality of National Assembly Deputies in the era of national development.
Quoting a line from the song “Waiting” by musician Huy Thuc: “Standing one day in a strange land becomes familiar”, the Standing Vice President of the National Assembly emphasized: “Our group of young National Assembly deputies has been together for 5 years, in a special working environment, with many profound memories. I believe that you will keep in touch, continue to coordinate and help each other to successfully complete the assigned tasks. Wherever you are, whatever you do, remember the group with loving feelings”.

On behalf of the 15th National Assembly Young Deputies Group, Chairman of the National Assembly Young Deputies Group Nguyen Anh Tuan respectfully presented a souvenir to Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Do Van Chien.
The group of young Vietnamese National Assembly deputies includes National Assembly deputies aged 45 or under from the time of election, established by a Resolution issued by the National Assembly Standing Committee.
Regarding the organizational structure, the Group of Young National Assembly Deputies of Vietnam, Term XV, includes: the Standing Committee of the Group and its members. Of which, the Standing Committee of the Group has 7 members, including 1 Chairman and 6 Vice Chairmen.
