On December 7, U22 Vietnam players visited and gave Phetdavanh Somsanid of U22 Laos 300 USD (nearly 8 million VND) after this player was discharged from the hospital (U22 Vietnam and U22 Laos stayed at the same hotel in Bangkok).
The visiting group included Nguyen Dinh Bac, Tran Trung Kien, Nguyen Nhat Minh, Nguyen Duc Anh, Khuat Van Khang, Pham Minh Phuc, Nguyen Hieu Minh and Nguyen Thai Son.
"Thank you, Vietnam U22 team," Phetdavanh Somsanid wrote on his personal page.
Phetdavanh Somsanid broke his leg after colliding with an opposing player in the final minutes of the match between U22 Laos and U22 Malaysia, in the second round of Group B of the men's football at the 33rd SEA Games on the afternoon of December 6. Also in this situation, Phetdavanh received a second yellow card (equivalent to a red card) and left the field.
U22 Vietnam went to watch this match, so when they knew Phetdavanh was seriously injured, the players quickly connected and chose a time to visit the U22 Laos player.
"We sympathize and share with Phetdavanh. The team wants to send some love to him, hoping Phetdavanh will recover quickly," said U22 Vietnam center back Nguyen Nhat Minh.
Phetdavanh Somsanid was born in 2004 and is the captain of Laos U22. He is a promising player of Laos football when playing for the national team from 2022 to present.

After two losses against U22 Vietnam and U22 Malaysia, U22 Laos ran out of chances at SEA Games 33 and left Thailand to return home.
The beautiful action of U22 Vietnam shows the beauty of football and the close relationship with the brotherly people of Laos. In the match between the two teams, although losing, the U22 Laos players still thanked the Vietnamese fans and showed a friendly attitude towards the team of coach Kim Sang Sik.
