Along with that, the Opening Ceremony will also witness the participation of many top Thai artists, beautiful beauty queens and especially the performance of the world Muay legend Buakaw Banchamek. The message throughout the Opening Ceremony will be: The fire of passion, Southeast Asian countries are one with the same will and desire to win.
According to Mr. Attakorn Sirilatthayakorn, the 33rd SEA Games organizing committee has worked extremely hard to bring the most magnificent and impressive opening ceremony, worthy of the Southeast Asian Games returning to Thailand after 18 years.
The opening ceremony of the 33rd SEA Games will take place on December 9 at Rajamangala Stadium, Thailand’s number 1 stadium and has hosted many important sporting and cultural events. This place has a capacity of up to 50,000 people.
Initially, the host country Thailand planned to hold the SEA Games Opening Ceremony outside the stadium, inspired by the 2024 Paris Olympics Opening Ceremony. However, due to many factors, the program was moved inside Rajamangala Stadium and held in the traditional style.
The 33rd SEA Games will be held from December 9 to 20 in Thailand. Previously, some team sports such as men's and women's football, badminton, and baseball had been played before the opening ceremony.
