On the morning of September 4, the price of gold bars at Saigon Jewelry Company - SJC increased by 500,000 VND, bringing the buying price to 132.4 million VND per tael and the selling price to 133.9 million VND. Similarly, gold rings on the market also increased dramatically to a new record when selling for nearly 130 million VND.

Specifically, the price of 4-number-9 gold rings at SJC Company increased by 700,000 VND, buying at 126.2 million VND, selling at 128.7 million VND; Phu Nhuan Jewelry Company (PNJ) increased by 1.1 million VND when buying gold rings to 126.9 million VND, selling at 129.9 million VND...

The world gold price also continued to increase sharply to 3,558 USD/ounce, 15 USD higher than yesterday and the highest level of the precious metal ever. Converted according to Vietcombank exchange rate, the world gold price is equivalent to 113.7 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, each tael of SJC gold bar is 20.2 million VND more expensive than the world price.

The precious metal continued to gain as the U.S. government reported that job openings fell more than expected in July. Following the report, investors raised their bets that the Federal Reserve will cut interest rates at its September 16-17 policy meeting. According to the CME FedWatch tool, investors increased the probability of the Fed cutting interest rates by 0.25% to 98% from 92% before the report. Yesterday, Fed Governor Christopher Waller reiterated his call for a rate cut this month. He also said that the pace of the central bank's rate cut after that meeting will depend on further developments in the economy .

Financial markets are awaiting the ADP employment report and data on US unemployment claims to be released today, September 4 (US time), as well as the official monthly employment report to be released on September 5.
